This is my 2nd collaboration with director Wolfgang Becker after we did Good Bye, Lenin! together. This film also stars Daniel Brühl again, as well as Jesper Christensen, Amira Casar, Geraldine Chaplin and Denis Lavant. Brühl is portraying the character of Sebastian Zöllner, a failed art writer and a pretty unlikeable guy who tries to take advantage of the declining health of legendary artist Manuel Kaminski.
The film was DP-ed by the wonderful Jürgen Jürges and working with him was a dream come true. I DP-ed and directed all 2nd Unit as well as the NYC shoot.
Shot on Alexa, 35mm, 16mm and Super8 Film.
