Ralph is a cinematographer who has been working on more than 200 productions, including feature films, tv movies, drama series, commercials, promos and music videos worldwide. He enjoys working in different styles and techniques, always striving to create a unique visual language for each story or project.

He photographed prime time tv movies and high end drama shows in Germany like HUNDERTDREIZEHN, TATORT, DER GEJAGTE, HELEN DORN, NEBEN DER SPUR, 2 FREUNDE and many more, scoring top ratings and excellent reviews throughout.

He is also known for his 2nd unit and action unit work on highly successful international productions like ARMY OF THIEVES, which was # 1 in over 90 countries on Netflix, 3 seasons of the espionage show BERLIN STATION, SEXY BEAST and THE OFFER for Paramount TV. Ralph was also tapped to serve as main unit DoP on individual episodes for BERLIN STATION as well as SEXY BEAST. He shot episode 7 and 8, the showdown of the first season, early 2023.

Ralph enjoyed serving 45 days as 2nd Unit DoP and B-Cam operator for Florian Hoffmeister BSC on the 6 Academy Award nominated TÁR as well as 65 days on the $120 million action movie LIFT which was released on Netflix on January 12, 2024 and scored #1 in 93 countries, worldwide which was lensed by Bernhard Jasper.  TÁR and THE OFFER also won at the renown CAMERIMAGE Festival in the main and tv competition in 2022 and 2023, respectively.

Most recently, Ralph joined the outstanding team of a new and highly anticipated AMAZON MGM show in London which will keep him occupied well into 2026.

After starting out in 1992 and many years of AC-ing, operating and completing his cinematography degree in Germany, Ralph began to shoot as DoP in 2000. In 2003, he relocated to Los Angeles to complete his education at the prestigious AFI Conservatory.

He holds an EU passport as well as a US green card and is a member of BVK, the German Society of Cinematographers.

Over the years, Ralph has worked with directors like Wolfgang Becker, David Caffrey, Giuseppe Capatondi, John D. He has also worked for some of the leading agencies including Droga5, TBWA/Chiat/Day, Wieden+Kennedy, Deutsch, Grey, Select, Innocean, McLaren/McCann, Leo Burnett, Heat and others.
